The ICL curtain pick is a very high quality pick designed to pick British Standard and other curtained mortice locks, and has now been further improved:
- New two-part handles shown below eliminate any slip of the wire in the handle. Unlike thumb wheel versions which rely on grub screws to grip the wire, this handle design will give enormous strength and will prevent any slippage.
- New wires have been designed to pick under the lowest levers in mortice locks. Unlike other designs that use a small picking wire glued or braised into a larger shaft, our wires give total flexibility. Try our pick in a BS lock with low levers and compare it to the thicker wires of others.
- Do not be fooled by what seem to be cheaper copies of this pick. This is the original and improved version of the ICL pick as used by trading locksmiths to pick BS mortice locks.

- A 5/5.5-gauge and a 7-gauge body included as standard, machined to a high quality from marine grade steel to resist any rusting
- Very strong left and right wires, both machined and hardened from a single piece of steel (so there will be no failure at the pick end, unlike other curtain picks)
- No set up time to switch hands – each wire has its own aluminium fully adjustable handle that can be stored flat without disassembly
- Flat handles give a picking advantage over thumb wheel versions, making it very easy to pick locks such as the ERA Profit and Invincible because the user can read the angle of the flat handle and so tell what the levers are inside the lock, which cannot be done easily with other picks.
- An easy slide tension bar that doesn't need a tool to adjust its position
- A free-moving mechanism with no restrictive collar to assist the picking of low levers
- Complete with robust box with pre-cut foam insert for easy and secure storage; the box is embossed with the ICL logo
